Underground Bunkers, Panic Rooms and Bomb Shelters
Underground bunkers or Bomb shelters need to be away from large structures and preferably in open space, so these structures, unlike normal basements, are built away from your property.
Bunkers should be built at a depth lower than normal storage bunkers and have sufficient ground mass on top of the roof structure to prevent possible damage and contamination.
Fall out shelters also need air sealed door access and generators that will produce power for the shelter.
Bunkers also require integrated air systems that can pull air through specialist nuclear, biological and chemical filters.
Built in storage for bottled water, tinned foods and other long life provisions are considered in the design as well as toilet, washing facilities and drainage.
Each bunker can be constructed to required specifications and tailor made for families. Subterranean Spaces design bunkers which can be totally bespoke and made for long periods of habitation or just for a few days. The rooms act as versatile additional living space but also double as protected spaces with the specification and installation of Air filtration systems or 'Scrubbers' that use advanced HEPA filters to purify the air from Pathogens such as Anthrax, Chemicals such as Sarin, Chlorine and Mustard gas and other Bio-chemical agents which may be potentially used in a terrorist attack.
Additional Structural protection and vital storage capacity can also be provided in the Basements along with water filtration and storage as required.
